Cybertruck: Tesla shrinks to fit in your garage

Not a day goes by without the Tesla Cybertruck being talked about. It must be said that it does not leave you indifferent, especially in terms of its dimensions which could be revised downwards.

Elon Musk had announced in his presentation that the dimensions of the Cybertruck were modeled on those of the most famous American pickup, the F-150, but it looks much more massive, to the point that it might not fit into a garage.

A few inches less without sacrificing the look

Elon Musk, between two trips to the restaurant behind the wheel of the Cybertruk, found the time to respond to a tweet from the Telsarati site following one of their articles featuring the video of a YouTuber worrying about the dimensions of the pick-up of Tesla particularly in view of the standard size of American garages.

To illustrate his point, the YouTuber uses an application that could well join our selection of the best augmented reality applications. It allows you to put the Cybertruck in a real situation, as in its case in a garage, but also a garden path, a yard or on the road. The concern comes particularly from the length of the Cybertruck and its 5.88 meters which barely fit in a 20-foot garage, or 6.10 m.

This would leave only 22 small centimeters, which is not enough to access the door or the second parked vehicle. However, Elon Musk announced that the width could be reduced by probably an inch or 2.5 cm, before going further and tweeting that a redesign would reach 1.85 m against 2.02 in the current time. The length could be reduced by at least 6 inches, or 15 cm, without sacrificing aesthetics or useful space. Regarding the height, thanks to the air suspension, at its lowest, the Cybertruck measures 1.90 m which should be enough to fit under standard garage doors. A problem that does not arise with the supercar version of the pickup.
