Tesla Cybertruck: a smaller version in Europe

A smaller version of the Tesla Cybertruck dedicated to the European market is reportedly currently in the works, as Elon Musk hinted on Twitter.

It's been a few months now that Tesla has lifted the veil on its new pickup, called Cybertruck, and yet this curious futuristic machine continues to be talked about. It must be said that his very particular philosophy and look have greatly contributed to creating the astonishment of fans of the brand and Internet users alike. However, if its entry into marketing is not yet for now, the electric utility of the firm of Elon Musk is gradually giving some additional details, while the production version should not be quite identical. to the prototype presented in November 2019. Indeed, the boss of Tesla recently affirmed that the Cybertruck which will be sold in dealerships will be a little smaller than the version shown on the official photos, which is still only a concept car very close to the series.

But that's not all, as the businessman more recently gave more information on his pick-up, and in particular on its hypothetical version dedicated to the European market, by responding to a user on Twitter. This one indeed asked if a smaller version would be offered on the Old Continent, with a size similar to that of the Tesla Model Y. Elon Musk then quickly unsheathed his keyboard to announce that such a version was "very probably in preparation. ". In other words, there is a good chance that it is already in the boxes, although the commercialization should not take place until next year. Meanwhile, the whimsical boss also revealed that another more conventionally styled version is also ready in case the original model does not meet with expected success.

As a reminder, the Tesla Cybertruck is a utility vehicle with a retro-futuristic look, offering more than 2,800 liters of cargo, thanks in part to its large tipper, while its interior presentation is strongly inspired by the Tesla Model 3. More accomplished yet than the previous productions of the brand, the electric pick-up is available in three versions, with one, two or three engines, offering a range of between 400 and 800 km in a single charge for the most upscale version. It also promises to shoot 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.9 seconds, almost as good as a Tesla Model S Performance, while being able to tow loads of up to 6.3 tons. . The time required to fill the battery has not yet been communicated.

See you in the next year to see this Tesla Cybertruck on the road, first in the United States, when it is expected to arrive in Europe a little longer. Already available for pre-order with a deposit of € 100, the utility should start around € 35,000, once the ecological bonus has been deducted.
